We’re a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to enriching the Steinbrenner athletics experience through funding, recognition, and community support. Our mission is to inspire participation, promote excellence, and build a championship culture.

Whether it’s staying late to offer extra help, cheering on athletes in the classroom, or pushing each player to be their best, our coaches embody the spirit of commitment and excellence.

Scholarships
The Dave Bame “Making a Difference” Scholarship
Named in memory of our beloved past president, Dave Bame, who passed away in 2015, this scholarship honors his legacy of leadership, character, and service.
Each year, the George M. Steinbrenner Athletic Booster Club awards scholarships to one male and one female senior student-athlete who exemplify what it means to truly make a difference—on their team, in their community, or within Steinbrenner High School.
This scholarship honors student-athletes who excel not only in athletics but also in inspiring and uplifting those around them. Whether through a single selfless act or a consistent example of integrity, recipients will demonstrate:
Strong moral character
Outstanding work ethic
Leadership and mentoring skills
A commitment to serving others
A consistently positive and encouraging attitude
While athletic and academic accomplishments are considered, this scholarship places a stronger emphasis on character, selflessness, and community impact. Participation in school and community activities will also be considered.
This award reflects the spirit of Dave Bame—someone who truly made a difference.
Coachas Choice Scholarship
This prestigious scholarship honors one outstanding male and one outstanding female senior student-athlete, each nominated by their coach. Recipients are those who consistently lead by example—on and off the field. They are recognized for their relentless work ethic, magnetic team spirit, exceptional character, and competitive drive.
